As far as I remember all I’ve never known is hell
Hating life and all it means, mind burning as I dwell
Worse is the place that I go to every night,
Laying down to fall asleep will now begin the fight
As I fall asleep fading from this world of pain,
I arrive at the gates - cemetery of my dreams
Cold wind blows as the earth now shifts,
Bodies rising from the ground, now I begin to sprint
In this graveyard is a chapel with high risen windows
and there I am sure to be safe. Corpse amassing around me,
the yard getting thicker with zombies and more are to come
Hands coming from the ground trip me up and knock me down,
turning me into a feast to be devoured by the beasts
The bodies are piling, everyone’s crying, I am now dying but I will return
I will soon die then come to life, endlessly feeding undead in my mind
I again die, never survive, back at the gates with a new life.
Suddenly I have now returned , confused and unclear nightmarish haze
Sights and sounds are all too familiar, bodies rising, mind recollecting
Running with fear trapped in my dreams, eyes closed, not here, tortured by failure
Demons mauling my astral form, no choice, I must always return
Loathing this vicious dream cycle
But hating every moment I spend on earth
Perhaps this is why I so long to die
For even in rest, it’s a time to survive
I have arrived mostly unscathed
Chapel doors sealed, safety at last
Thriving outside, zombies climbing
Hands through the glass, they feed at last
More bodies than gravestones,
I can’t fathom where they’re coming from,
it’s hard to tell that this is but a dream
Ghouls leap through the windows,
gnashing teeth and fingernails tear through my skin,
dear God why won’t you let me die?
